Summer of Freedom Reads - a project of the Nottingham City of Literature office in 2021.
In collaboration with PEN England, the British city of literature draws attention to the topic of protecting writers and their rights.
26 participants from all over the country are gathering in Nottingham in order to work together on the given topic and get to know how public activism lives in other cities and countries.
Challenge
The video was commissioned by the Lviv Office of the City of Literature UNESCO for the Summer of Freedom Reads - a project of the Nottingham City of Literature office in 2021. The filming took place in the Urban Library in Lviv, with a fairly simple setup - shooting with one camera and an iPhone 12 mobile phone. In the video, three cultural figures, Volodymyr Beglov, Sofia Chelyak and Ostap Slyvinsky, who are associated with activities in the human rights context, express their vision regarding the important topics of inclusion, tolerance and tolerance.
